Musician Magically-Touched

  • You can not pick a starting spell you get the Intial Traits/Abilities instead
  • You gain both Magic Categories but you cannot pick any more
    • Illusion
    • Enchantment

Traits:

Musical Persuasion

You can use music and performance to alter moods. As an Action, Mental Test at DL specified by GM to influence the mood of an audience and sway them to your cause. Especially large or passionate groups might impose DIS. The final effects are determined by the GM, but the mood should aid the performer in some way.

Actor

You have mastered the preforming art of acting when trying to disguise oneself gain +1 ADV, and all Tests to find out if you are an imposter must meet a DL equal to Your Mental AL at +1 DIS.

This stacks with the Linguist trait, all Tests to find out if you are an imposter must meet a DL of Your Mental AL at +2 DIS.

Instrument Mastery

Pick one instrument to master and when using that said instrument gain +1 ADV when using Musical Persuasion or singing a Bardic magic song. You also can draw your instrument without taking an action.

Instrument Epic

Must have Instrument Mastery Your instrument of choice now gains double +1 ADV, or +2, when using Musical Persuasion, but NOT for singing a Bardic magic song.

Bardic Mastery

Must first have a Mental AL of 3. You can now preform 2 songs per turn.

Abilities:

Taunt

Once per round you may spend 1 MP, and make an Attack Test at +2 ADV against one target. But that target gains +1 ADV on all actions against you on it's next turn.

Bardic Blade

Make a Prime Attack Test at +1 DIS and Spend 1 MP or 1 SP, if successful you deal +2 magic damage. This casts magic to guide your blade and cut deeper.

Cutting Words

Once per round you may spend 1 MP, and select a target before or after they roll. Roll 1p6 and subtract the outcome from the targets roll.

Area of Effect: 1 square

You can create an illusion to aid in story telling (when using Musical Persuasion gain +1 ADV) or trick/distract a foe. The illusion can be of anything the size of a horse or smaller. Once the illusion is hit by something it dissolves. An Enemy may make an Awareness Test against your Mental AL in order to discover it is an illusion and to ignore it, but this takes an action in combat. This can not be used on yourself.

Illusionary Disguise

Duration: Until Dismissed

Save Test: Mental

Area of Effect: 1 square or just around the person.

Disguise one target player or object, to look like someone/something else. The Disguise moves with the target. If the target is not the caster, the target must stay within the line of sight of the caster.

You become harder to detect as an imposter. All Tests to find out if you are an imposter must meet a DL of Your Mental AL at +1 DIS.

This stacks with the Actor Trait. If you have the Actor trait, all Tests to find out if you are an imposter must meet a DL of Your Mental AL + 1 at +1 DIS.

This stacks with the Linguist trait, all Tests to find out if you are an imposter must meet a DL of Your Mental AL + 1 at +2 DIS.

Bardic Magic

Choose one of the songs below. You may take this ability multiple times.

NOTE: Only one song can be used per turn, but they only take up one action. If you fail your first test you can retry the same song on your second test

Song of Stamina

Companions in your near range gain 1 SP not including yourself.

Song of Arcane Mystery

If successful, take the sum of your Mental Test and you can shield that many people from any mystical, occult, psionic, or otherwise supernatural attempts to attack or penetrate the dreams of the sleepers are made at +1 DIS.

While under the influence of the Song of Rest, sleepers heal 3 Hit Points per hour (instead of 2) and fully recover all Hit Points after 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep (instead of 6)

Song of Sorrow

Save DL: Caster's Mental AL at +1 DIS

Save Test: Mental

Preform an Mental Cast Test and Spend 2 MP. Take the highest number from the roll and you can target that many enemies of your choice in the near range. These targets must make a Mental Save Test against Your Mental AL at +1 DIS. If they fail they suffer +1 DIS on their next Action.

You can choose to use 2 actions to sing the song of sorrow at the beginning of your turn to impart one of the special effects: Daze, Stagger, Stun, or Weaken, upon a failed Save Test

Song of Haste

Area of Effect: Near Range

Choose one companion per 2 MP spent on this song within your near range and they can immediately take 1 Action. You may test at +1 DIS to include yourself in the healing pool

Song of Healing

For each 1 MP spent on this song, up to 2 Companions within your near range heal 2 HP. This can't be used to Heal yourself

Song of Draining

Roll 1 Mental Attack Test and enemies in your near range with a Mental AL equal to or lower than your attack test roll lose 1 SP for each 1 MP spent on this song. If they are already at 0 SP they can not regain 1 SP per 1 SP spent on this action on their next turn.

Song of Binding

Roll 1 Mental Attack Test and enemies in your near range with a Mental AL equal to or lower than your attack test roll lose 1 MP for each 1 MP spent on this song. If they are already at 0 MP they can not regain 1 MP per 1 MP spent on this action on their next turn.
